Job Description
We are looking for a natural leader to take accountability for the Planning & logistics teams across the European Multiserve Manufacturing Units.
In this role you will be a key part of the European supply chain organization. Leading a group of 4 country based Planning & logistics Managers and their teams, covering 6 factories across the EU Multiserve network. Responsible for the Supply Chain from packing materials and green coffee supply until delivery of finished goods to our warehouses across Europe. You will have full accountability to deliver on Safety, People, Service, Cost and Cash targets.
You will also be the Global Flow pillar lead. A key player within the Manufacturing Operating System (MOS), JDE’s continuous improvement program. Driving development and execution of the pillar across all MU’s Globally for JDE. An opportunity to deliver improvements on a truly global scale.
To start with, the position of Multiserve Cluster (Europe), Planning and Logistics Manager sits comfortably in the European Manufacturing Planning & logistics team. As the Multiserve Cluster (Europe), Planning and Logistics Manager you will be asked to lead the Planning & Logistics managers and teams in the EU Multiserve cluster and be the Global Flow Pillar lead. For this, we don’t just need you to be a knowledgeable professional but also strongly rely on your interpersonal skills as well as your drive for success. With this said, we like you to take responsibility over the following tasks:
- Delivering excellent results, through engaged leadership and coaching. Driving a culture of engagement and capability development.
- Role modelling safety behaviour. Ensuring all (food) quality and safety standards and JDE Guidelines are adhered to
- Delivering daily KPI’s and year on year performance improvements covering, reliability, agility, cost and inventory objectives
- Driving the strategy and program/project delivery for the Manufacturing Planning and Logistics function.
- Being the MOS Flow Pillar Leader. Driving the development and execution of the Pillar across all JDE factories globally (roadmap, tools, methods, templates, audits)
- Driving and supporting the on-time delivery of new product development initiatives
Qualifications
We are looking for an experienced and proven associate with deep expertise in Manufacturing End-to-End planning, Customer Service and Warehousing/Transportation (Logistics) with a drive for excellence. Someone that holds themselves accountable and doesn’t shy away from responsibility. Given the nature of the role we feel it's important for you to have a certain level of seniority & experience ideally, University degree qualified, with 5+ years’ experience in Operations or Supply Chain environment, preferably in FMCG, as well as a solid understanding of your own added value.

We do, of course, take into consideration how much experience you have with Manufacturing Planning & Logistics but ultimately, we look at the bigger picture. However to give you a bit of guidance as to what we feel is needed in this role, we’ll share our “nice to have” list with you:
- Experience in Leadership roles and a team player who can get things done
- Excellent change and people management skills.
- Fluent in English both oral and written. Excellent communication skills at both operational & strategic levels
- Experience with SAP and APO preferred
- Proven experience with Lean, 6-sigma, TPM or similar continuous improvement methods
